Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 all of my designs are from original illustrations, some are then painted, but mostly these days i finish them by computer ( i love the way you can just change something if you don't like it, no chance with painting by hand)
2 i have my own website where i print my designs on a small range of products using sublimation and inkjet
3 i am addicted to shoes, well boots really , and a lot of my designs are based on my love of shoes, my eldest son has inherited shoe addiction and is coveting a pair of hi pro keds from zazzle.
4 i mainly like drawing things for kids, although my sales come mostly from the adult stuff
5 i have four sons who are heavily involved in sports, so i don't have much spare time for drawing
How has zazzle changed your life/lifestyle? i now spend every spare minute on there or drawing to put a design on there, i have learnt alot more about using computers and even a little bit about html and i love every minute of it
Do you have any formal art or computer training? I did art at school and got an o level (when they still existed) but nothing since then, i am now doing a childrens illustration course at the london art college.
What advice would you give a friend if they wanted to try zazzling? definitely give it a go, but you have to put the hours in, and do the promotional stuff as much as you can
What would you say if you were introduced to a stranger and they were wearing on of your Tshirts? i would probably say in excitement "you are wearing my t shirt" which would be terribly embarrassing and confusing for the poor soul wearing it, then I would try and explain myself, lol
If you had to pick a birthday card for someone, from any shop that is NOT yours, which would you pick and why? i love the design, the colours, and the way the number four is made out of rope, a kid would love this

2 I'm a twin. And my sister beats me.
3 Turt is the name of our turtle. And his friend Soupy is soon to make a debut.
4 We are the best scrabble/boggle-playing zazzlers ever! Challenge!
5 We're rock solidly awesome. For Realzy.
Do you have any formal art or computer training? Yes, McKinzie and Ben both have bachelors of art degrees.
What programs do you use to make your designs? Prison computer time program.
What would you say if you were introduced to a stranger and they were wearing one of your Tshirts? That t-shirt looks good on you, but it would look even better crumpled up on my bedroom floor in the morning.
If you could send any 1 pair of shoes from someone else's zazzle shop to a 3rd world country as a gift which would you choose and why? I would choose Zimbabwe. I think they need them.

Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I'm a violinist by profession and can't believe my good fortune to have a life of playing in symphony orchestras.
2 I'm not too sure how much free will any of us truly have, even though it might feel as if we do...
3 I never fail to be amazed when someone buys something I've made.
4 I love being proven wrong.
5 I believe that everything matters, and nothing matters.
How and when did you find zazzle?
I noticed Zazzle being mentioned on another POD site; it sounded intriguing. I joined in January of 2009.
If you were watching the news and the man on the street interview was wearing your shirt what would you do?
I'd kick myself for not being prepared to record what I was watching and then, depending on the time of day, I'd
drink either an espresso or a glass of wine (or both) in celebration.
What is the best advice you received since starting zazzle?
To download and read the words of wisdom contained in a manual written by the incomparable Zazzler whose shop
goes by the name of softproduct
What programs do you use to make your designs?
Photoshop, Illustrator, Irfanview, Livebrush, Paint.net, PhotoScape
If you had to pick a birthday card for someone, from any shop that is NOT yours, which would you pick and why?
would be my choice. What an evocative scene - I feel that this artist is a master at
channeling emotion onto the canvas, and I should also confess that I have some ties to the corner of the world that is being portrayed in that
image. It's very compelling for me and something I would happily share as a birthday greeting.

Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I’m a commercial artist and my work is licensed
2 I adore painting nature, especially endangered species and custom pet paintings.
3 I lost my soul mate 4 years ago and creating art has kept my spirit alive and is helping me to heal.
4 I live in the middle of a forest on top of a mountain and am inspired by the beauty of my surroundings.
5 I have a website at www.romanceworks.com, where I sell Fine Art Prints, ArtCards, 3D products, and The Mountain T-shirts with my designs.
What programs do you use to make your designs?
Photoshop CS, Poser.
How has zazzle changed your life/lifestyle?
I am enjoying seeing my art on specialty items and being a part of a product-oriented community and I'm inspired to work many hours a day to create my store.
What is the best advice you received since starting zazzle?
Focus on quality instead of quantity and create products I would love to own.
If you had to pick a birthday card for someone, from any shop that is NOT yours, which would you pick and why?
I would pick “Life Goes On” by one of my favorite Zazzle artists, Kyoko Yamaji, because it celebrates the joy and beauty of life, which can be had at any age.
If you were abducted by aliens and knew you would have to wear the same shirt for the rest of your life - which one from your store would you want it to be?
LOL! I only have one T-shirt design in my store right now, which I created to celebrate Earth Day. It is called ‘What Does Green Mean’, and it says it all.

Michele Webber
Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I am a freelance artist and art tutor, specialising in Watercolour painting.
2 I am a single mum to a slightly mad teenage daughter.
3 I have been vegetarian for 21 years.
4 Despite the perception that artists live in squalor surrounded by paint and debris... I am obssessively neat and tidy.
5 I love to write, and since discovering Squidoo, I am in squid heaven. I know it's heaven because they have angels.
How and when did you find zazzle?
I found Zazzle in October 2009 after reading an article in Artists and Illustrators magazine about marketing art images, two of the five artists interviewed recommended Zazzle.
If you were abducted by aliens and knew you would have to wear the same shirt for the rest of your life - which one from your store would you want it to be?
A difficult question, since I have only a few t-shirts in my store so far, and tend only to wear casual clothing to the gym, but this is my favourite adult shirt so far, because it is so feminine:
Do you have any formal art or computer training?
Some very minor art qualifications, but I have generally found I am excessively unhappy in formal education, finding it restrictive and limiting. Luckily however, I have attended many courses and classes with talented artists, in particular a hightly talented watercolour botanical artist. As I now teach my own classes I find that learning is a two way thing, I teach my students, and learn from them too. Learning never stops in art, so when I am feeling short of inspiration I take a short course, or go to paint with a friend who is a fabulous oil painter. Any minor abilities I have with computers and graphics are mainly self taught, and involve much swearing at the screen/ instruction manual.
If you could send any 1 pair of shoes from someone else's zazzle shop to a 3rd world country as a gift which would you choose and why?
I choose these sea shell shoes, because I adore shells, but also because they remind us that the world is a huge place of oceans, countries, cities, and there is opportunity for everyone, even if in your own small part of the world that seems difficult to comprehend.
If you could give every new shopkeeper 1 piece of advice what would you tell them?

Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 After 30 years working in a library, I have retired and am now devoting my time to communing with the natural world. I am attempting to reflect what I see through my photography.
2 I am a passionate gardener with extensive flower and vegetable gardens.
3 I live in the hills of upstate New York and spend lots of time roaming the woods.
4 My grandfather and father were both professional photographers. I like to say "I was born in a darkroom".
5 I love to read books and watch films. Good cinematography thrills me!
How and when did you find zazzle?
I have belonged to a photo website of amateur photographers for two years. Several of the members are in Zazzle and told me about it.
Do you have any formal art or computer training?
No.
If you were watching TV and saw an actor in a sitcom wearing your shirt what would you do?
Laugh myself silly! Seriously, though, I would just be very proud. I love my products and want to share them.
What is the best advice you received since starting zazzle?
Well, I am very new to this so I'm not sure if this will turn out to be the best advise, but everyone says to take the time to put in lots of keywords and accurate, eye-catching descriptions.
If you spilled coffee on your mouse pad and needed to replace it with a mouse pad NOT from your store, which would you choose and why?
I really love "Wizard's Garden" mousepad from Pariseau's Market. It is colorful, whimsical and makes me smile.

Lasgalen Arts
Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1. I'm a freelance photographer who loves everything creative. I can't let a day go by without doing something creative in nature. Whether it's domestic like decorating or photography, poetry or any visual art, I need to be doing something. The arts are important to me. I support them when ever I can physically and monetarily.
2. Gardening is another passion. Because of my spiritual beliefs I treat my plants inside and outside my own yard with respect. The whole process from seedlings, sprouts, adult plants and in death moves me. Trees are especially important to me. I feel quite connected to them.
3. And boy can I cook. Yes I'm bragging but if there is another 'thing' I love doing it is eating. lol I've been a vegetarian for about five years now and I've found amazing ways to cook the common bean. Cookbooks are read like novels and I have way to many of them. And bake too. My biggest vice in life (other than books) is chocolate. I share this addiction with my whole family.
4. I'm crazy enough for anything J.R.R. Tolkien that I read The Silmarillion and all three books of The Lord of the Rings each year for the past 11. My first stores name comes from LoTR. Eryn Lasgalen is the name the elves gave Murkwood Forrest after the War of the Ring. To me it symbolizes hope and rebirth. This was important to me when starting this unknown venture called Zazzle.
5. And lastly I love my family very much. Without the encouraging support I get from them I could not do this. It's important to me to feel as though others agree that this is worthy of pursuing at this stage of my life. I know it's not easy to understand the hours put into it without seeing a weekly paycheck. Their patience amazes me.
What programs do you use to make your designs?
My photography equipment is a Canon 40D with various lenses and an old Olympus OM10. For the graphics work I use Fireworks 8 and occasionally Gimp. I also use watercolors and draw.
How has zazzle changed your life/lifestyle?
I became unemployed in May of 2009. Not one to sit around as I was looking for work I started investigating PODs. Once I decided to open Lasgalen Arts on Zazzle it became a full time job. This also sparked my dormant art projects and more creative outlets that had been put aside once I was working outside the home. Other than my freelance photography Zazzle is my "job."
What is the best advice you received since starting zazzle?
Don't give up. There are days I feel it's not worth the time and then an amazing thing happens, I sell something. I feel right now I'm on the verge of having potential. Once I make Pro Seller I know I'll be driven even harder to produce more products.
If you were abducted by aliens and knew you would have to wear the same
shirt for the rest of your life - which one from your store would you want
it to be?
You mess with me and you'll be plagued with poisonous dart frogs upon your heads.
If you had to pick a birthday card for someone, from any shop that is NOT
yours, which would you pick and why?
This cards design jumped out at me. The eyes of the doll are so expressive. I also appreciate the quality of work gone into the art of making the doll and how beautifully it's presented here.
