How long did it take you to become a proseller? *
12-24 months (1-2 years)
What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? *
Make quality, unique products. Learn to make templates that work correctly. Learn to layer designs - you don't have to know PhotoShop, there are free programs. I use Paint[dot]net. Work on having quality blogs or other places to advertise off Zazzle. These are the things I've had to learn over my 3 1/2 years of working here and it does take time, but ProSeller is not hard to reach.
How many stores do you have? *
5-10
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? *
I wish I didn't have the 7 stores I have. I work most on only a couple of them at any given time. If I had known when I started what I know now, I would have one store (maybe 2 or 3 at most) broken down into easy to find sections for the other niche items. Once a store begins to grow it's harder to keep up with the others and I spend about 60 hours a week working on Zazzle.
What types of advertising do you do? *
  • Blogs (blogspot, wordpress, etc.)
  • Microblogs (twitter, plurk, etc.)
  • SNS (facebook, myspace, etc.)
  • Forums (groups, messege boards, etc.)
What types of advertising do you recommend for someone just starting out and why? *
Squidoo isn't listed above, and that is one place that is very helpful for advertising. I use it to show off my best selling and new designs and update it as I go. It's very easy to use as well. I advise adding some info to the Squidoo pages and not just slapping up designs. Talk to the customer. I do not pay for any advertising.
Not talking dollar wise, just volume & frequency of sales do you... (select all that apply, some answer may be contradictory based on seasonal sales) *
  • have 1-5 days per month with no sale
  • sell more then 5 products per day most days
  • sell multiple items per purchase most sales
  • have 1 shopper pruchase over 100 items in 1 purchase at least once per week
  • have great seasons/months and horrible seasons/months
  • do well January-March
  • do well April-June
What product in your store are you most proud of or what product in your store is your favorite? Include link to product page and why it is your favorite. *
I don't really have a favorite item, but I love flowers and worked hard on this design. I haven't advertised it much so no sales yet, but I think it has potential. I like the invitations because the paper type can easily change the look of each design.
