How long did it take you to become a proseller? * | 12-24 months (1-2 years) |
What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Give it time. It will eventually happen if you design something that people want and like. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was any big business. Just do what you can, when you can and eventually it all adds up and you will sell. One of the most important things is to tag your keywords. Use colours, names,(but no brand names) and make sure everything is a good resolution. |
How many stores do you have? * | 2-5 |
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? * | I chose to do a few different stores as they were all different and I have themed my stores. I wanted to put like with like, so that it wouldn't confuse people. I put animals with animals, Digital art and photographs together and anything to do with names together. That way confusion is minimised. |

What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Don't give up! It can take sometimes a year or more but if you continue to promote and fill your store and designs it will happen. Better to find a niche group to sell to rather than trying to make tones of things for everyone. And by niche I mean either by product or design/style. Like a mostly tee shirt store or a store aimed at animal lovers. You can branch out with more stores later but stay focused on one topic at a time and run with it. Never give up! |
How many stores do you have? * | 2-5 |
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? * | I have an anchor store with samples of each of my style/design lines. And a different store for each basic niche. A symbols store, a cat/animal centered store, a nature/botanical store and so on. That way a person can get an idea of my designs and products at my main store and if they are interested in seeing more of a particular design line they can go to that store. Making navigation easier and they are not overwhelmed with a massive store with tons of sections. Of course I am still working on several stores and my own 5 year business plan. |

|
What types of advertising do you recommend for someone just starting out and why? * | Get business cards. I know in this day and age of electronic ad and info studies show people who have business cards and hand them out still make more sales and connections than those without. It's inexpensive and easy. Anything free! All social networks no matter how popular or small. It's all free. I advertised with my class reunion booklets. Remember a lot of advertising can be tax deductible. Learn to write a press release and use the sites online for that purpose. And encourage people to use your products in their referral stores and on Sqidoo! Every sale counts. |

How long did it take you to become a proseller? * | 12-24 months (1-2 years) |
What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Make quality, unique products. Learn to make templates that work correctly. Learn to layer designs - you don't have to know PhotoShop, there are free programs. I use Paint[dot]net. Work on having quality blogs or other places to advertise off Zazzle. These are the things I've had to learn over my 3 1/2 years of working here and it does take time, but ProSeller is not hard to reach. |
How many stores do you have? * | 5-10 |
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? * | I wish I didn't have the 7 stores I have. I work most on only a couple of them at any given time. If I had known when I started what I know now, I would have one store (maybe 2 or 3 at most) broken down into easy to find sections for the other niche items. Once a store begins to grow it's harder to keep up with the others and I spend about 60 hours a week working on Zazzle. |

What types of advertising do you recommend for someone just starting out and why? * | Squidoo isn't listed above, and that is one place that is very helpful for advertising. I use it to show off my best selling and new designs and update it as I go. It's very easy to use as well. I advise adding some info to the Squidoo pages and not just slapping up designs. Talk to the customer. I do not pay for any advertising. |

How long did it take you to become a proseller? * | 6-12 months |
What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Find a niche, love what you do and work hard. Zazzle is by no means a "great rich quick" scheme but if your work is marketable and you persist, you really can work from home, doing what you love. It's awesome! :) |

What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? *
My husband and I started out with a superstore (SugarVsSpice) which we worked on for over a year. Most of my stuff ended up being pet-related so I made the tough decision to start over with a new store; CartoonizeMyPet. The move wasn't easy, and took several months to recreate everything and set up a new dedicated website... but in the end I'm pleased I did. Now I have a much more marketable brand, a website design to match AND I can make use of Zazzle's excellent API to change the color of my pets and earn additional money from referrals.

How long did it take you to become a proseller? * | 3-6 months |
What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Create original designs of high quality and be aware of good tag words and descriptions. Next would be to work towards quantity and offer a large range of designs and products. |
How many stores do you have? * | 1 |
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? * | I truly believe for someone just starting out that one store is just the right size. Use this store to learn and experiment with your designs, products offered and store lay out. Once you have a good understanding of that store you then might branch out to additional stores if you have "niche" type products and or designs. I chose to have one store to keep it simple and use categories within the store to act like I have specialty stores . |
What types of advertising do you do? * |
|
What types of advertising do you recommend for someone just starting out and why? * | Other than passing out an occasional business card and posting in the forum I do not do any advertising. I should and it is in the best interest to new Zazzlers to advertise as much as possible to achieve their goals. I believe you should start out with "free" advertising such as blogs, squidoo and expand from there. |

What advice can you give to someone who wants to become a proseller? * | Take some time to learn about writing descriptions and using keywords before you start creating products. Visit the Zazzle help section and learn the design sizes so you can adjust your images accordingly. Start cranking products out like gangbusters! Blog, Tweet, and create an Facebook Fan Page to advertise your creations. |
How many stores do you have? * | 2-5 |
What benefits do you see for choosing this number of stores? and what do you recommend for others who are just starting out on whether to choose 1 store or multiple stores? * | None yet. I made proseller with one store. The second is only two weeks old. A fellow Zazzler posted that having more than one store will generate more income than just having one huge shop, so I decided to branch out a bit. Here's hoping that she was right :). |
What types of advertising do you do? * |
|
What types of advertising do you recommend for someone just starting out and why? * | For someone just starting out, I would recommend starting with Blogging, Facebook, and Twitter because they're free and don't take much time. In the beginning, it's important to focus more on adding products to your shop than promotion, so that you have something to advertise. If you get too many people visiting an empty store, you may lose a large percentage of your potential customer base, otherwise. |
