robbirt

How did you pick your store(s) name(s)?
(feel free to write up each shop name if they each have a story) *
I currently have two stores, each are based of my name Rob Birt. The stores are robbirt and robbirtraw. The robbirt store is where all of the majority of my design work goes, robbirtraw is where I put my more artistic and grittier endeavors, and so far come straight from a particular piece of hand done artwork.
What forms of advertising do you use online? (check all that apply) *
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • You Tube
  • Self hosted websites
  • Other social networking sites
  • Other sites
  • Other online advertising
How much do you spend monthly on advertising? (include hosting fees domain fees) *
$50-100
What are your 5 favorite designs from your store(s) and why?
(include the url to the product pages)

Favorites are always difficult to pin down, I always like to think the next one made will be better than the previous. Currently though I'd select :
http://www.zazzle.com/ian_wakes_up_i_can_tie_my_shoes_lace_up-167767563564203485
Shoes from an easy reader book I illustrasted, referencing my real nephew Ian.
http://www.zazzle.com/little_blue_devil_got_a_little_devil_in_you_tshirt-235000078033192347
The Little Blue devil character I plan to evolve into works and possibly a comic book or graphic novel as time allows.

My Light Blue Dancing Woman design. Its something I came up with over 15 years ago, it's simple elegant and yet it has a lot of energy in it.
http://www.zazzle.com/chillin_square_poster-228258145995489315
Chillin is a recent comic styled illustration I like it has a certain kind of attitude to it that has a weight that I enjoy.

To add something from the qwerky side of me I'd have to say my humanaities child illustration mostly becasue it expresses a topic that has a lot of weight behind it but sheds an odd kind of cute light on the topic.

Do you have shops on other PODs?
Yes - but zazzle is my primary POD
What other PODs do you use now or have you used in the past?
  • Other
What are your feelings on...Clipart, Stock-photos, Public domain images, or other LEGAL to use free or paid images/photos...being used in zazzle shops?
I do not use it but if it helps other people they should use it - not everyone is an artist
List your shops using the following format:
http://www.zazzle.com/shopid - Shop Name - short description of shop *
http://www.zazzle.com/robbirt - Broad Spectrum Designs by Rob Birt - fun cute variety of designs and illustrations and various products created by me.
http://www.zazzle.com/robbirtraw - Robbirtraw - more grittier art and illustrations typically straight from pieces of artwork, including some more mature concepts, items are scaled appropriately as per the rating system
