Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I think a fairly funny thing to know about me is that my Zazzle store focuses mostly on wedding stationery at the moment, but that my husband and I eloped for our wedding! Worked well for us, but certainly not for everyone. My philosophy is to help brides make their weddings as stress-free and wonderful as possible. Any way I can help out with that I will.
2 I love to travel and have been to many countries in the world. In fact, I love to travel so much that I jumped at the chance to go to Ireland even though to be there I was expected to compete in a company wide international soccer tournament and hadn't played soccer since I was a kid in elementary school gym class. Thankfully I was on the B team.
3 I love to learn and it's almost to my detriment because I have a tendency to get bored with one thing and move on to another. I love Zazzle because it doesn't get boring for me as there are so many facets to it. It also lets me set my own hours so that I can learn something new on the side.
4 I am a published author.... sort of. My University honors experiment did get published in a reputable journal, but only after the text was completely rewritten by my academic adviser. So, does that count as being published?
5 I once witnessed a boa constrictor taking down a very large iguana in order to eat it. This is not a fast paced thing. It takes hours for it to kill the lizard and weeks to digest it, but we did witness it slowly crushing the iguana to death. It was very bizarre. The iguana was not very happy... which was to be expected of course.

How did you find zazzle and how long have you been here?

Good question. I actually don't remember how I ran across PODs at all. I think I might have read a blog article somewhere. I found out about CafePress, Spreadshirt, Zazzle and some others right at the same time.
Settled on Zazzle for it's ease of use. Figured I'd give it a try. I've been on Zazzle for about 4 months I believe.

Do you have any formal art or computer training?

I have tons of computer training. I have a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology and used to do computer support work. I also do web design and development... a little programming. I've used website content management systems in the past as well. I've taken a number of online training courses as well in regards to using programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. As far as art classes go, I've taken some University art classes and taken a variety of other art classes. And, along with all that, I've learned on my own.

What 1 piece of advice would you give to a friend if they wanted to try zazzling?

I would tell them to have fun and experiment... don't be discouraged if you don't have sales right away.

If a random stranger walked up to you at a party and introduced themselves - and had on/with them one of your designs - what would you do/say?

Actually, I'd probably be speechless with shock.

If you could pick 1 product from any shop other then your own to give as a gift this mothers day what would it be?
This German Shepherd mousepad because it is actually a picture of my mother's dog! The shop is my older sister's new shop. She liked the idea of my store so much, she decided to start her own.

Mayan Prophecy: 12 21 12 by wasootch
Buy cheap travel mugs at zazzle. I really like this mug because it will make people ask what it is or what it means - and the Mayan prophesy is a neat story behind it!
