Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I've always loved to draw and do arts and crafts projects.
2 I have a degree in Graphic Communication and work full time as a digital designer for a large corporation.
3 Besides zazzle, I also have a shop at www.artladymanor.etsy.com, where I turn photos into works of art using Photoshop and my wacom pen and tablet. I offer 3 styles: black and white portrait drawings, watercolors and silhouettes.
4 My best freelance job, via etsy, was designing Christmas cards for the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies the year that they won the World Series.
5 My favorite products to make on zazzle are kids birthday shirts and invitations.

What brought you to zazzle and how long have you been there?
I joined an online pregnancy/mom's group while pregnant with my first child. When our children were about 9 months old, some of us decided to meet in person and I designed t-shirts for our event. It was then that I learned about POD sites like Zazzle.com. After that, I often got requests for kids t-shirt designs and discovered I could sell those designs on Zazzle and have been a shopkeeper since 2007. However, it wasn't until 2008 that I realized that I could make some real money on zazzle when one of my t-shirts I created for the presidential elections started selling like crazy.

What is the best advice you have ever received about zazzle/your store?
Keep adding as many designs as you can and don't eliminate old ones because the more you have in your shop, the more people will shop around and buy.

If you were walking down the street and saw a stranger with one of your designs - which one would you want it be and why?
This was a design request by a friend from my mom's group that ended up being one of my top selling t-shirt design during the 2008 presidential elections and so it would be neat to actually see someone wearing it.

I love Ancient Egyptian culture and their use of color. I like this design because it is a subtle design yet with lots of color.

Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I grew up drawing bunnies in church and it went horribly wrong from there.

2 I have a passion for creating dark, creepy art with positive messages. But everyone is scared to ask what they mean. Must be the tattoo's and black hair!

3 I LOVE baking gourmet cupcakes and watching other people eat them.

4 I'm absolutely nuts over my Pomeranian's! They have their own drawer full of clothes!

5 I just got a tattoo of the featured Save the Date card from the Golden Oldies store for my 1st wedding anniversary.

How long have you been on zazzle and how did you get there?
I have been a Zazzler 2 years now, just got Silver Proseller! For the life of me I don't remember what got me started on it? Fate I guess.

What program(s) do you use to create your designs, and how did you learn to use them?
Photoshop & Illustrator. Learned the old fashion way - Trial and Error.

If you could have 1 design appear on a billboard in Times Square NYC for 1 hour - which design would you pick and why?

I think the world should meet The Evil Penguin Project and fall in love with the sarcastic little guy.

If you were given 1 free purchase at zazzle to get any 1 product NOT on your shop what would you buy and why?

I got lucky enough to win a contest and this is what I bought from HahpiStuff. I just love her whimsically dark designs!

What is the 1 piece of advice you would give a friend if they wanted to start zazzling?
I've gotten quite a few people to join Zazzle. One shopkeeper 'malibugraphics' calls me the "Zazzle Queen" and calls for advice all the time. The best advice - check out the forums! Best ideas to promote and grow your store are in there! Insomnia and creative compulsion always helps!

Tell me 5 things everyone should know about you
1 I think a fairly funny thing to know about me is that my Zazzle store focuses mostly on wedding stationery at the moment, but that my husband and I eloped for our wedding! Worked well for us, but certainly not for everyone. My philosophy is to help brides make their weddings as stress-free and wonderful as possible. Any way I can help out with that I will.
2 I love to travel and have been to many countries in the world. In fact, I love to travel so much that I jumped at the chance to go to Ireland even though to be there I was expected to compete in a company wide international soccer tournament and hadn't played soccer since I was a kid in elementary school gym class. Thankfully I was on the B team.
3 I love to learn and it's almost to my detriment because I have a tendency to get bored with one thing and move on to another. I love Zazzle because it doesn't get boring for me as there are so many facets to it. It also lets me set my own hours so that I can learn something new on the side.
4 I am a published author.... sort of. My University honors experiment did get published in a reputable journal, but only after the text was completely rewritten by my academic adviser. So, does that count as being published?
5 I once witnessed a boa constrictor taking down a very large iguana in order to eat it. This is not a fast paced thing. It takes hours for it to kill the lizard and weeks to digest it, but we did witness it slowly crushing the iguana to death. It was very bizarre. The iguana was not very happy... which was to be expected of course.

How did you find zazzle and how long have you been here?

Good question. I actually don't remember how I ran across PODs at all. I think I might have read a blog article somewhere. I found out about CafePress, Spreadshirt, Zazzle and some others right at the same time.
Settled on Zazzle for it's ease of use. Figured I'd give it a try. I've been on Zazzle for about 4 months I believe.

Do you have any formal art or computer training?

I have tons of computer training. I have a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology and used to do computer support work. I also do web design and development... a little programming. I've used website content management systems in the past as well. I've taken a number of online training courses as well in regards to using programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. As far as art classes go, I've taken some University art classes and taken a variety of other art classes. And, along with all that, I've learned on my own.

What 1 piece of advice would you give to a friend if they wanted to try zazzling?

I would tell them to have fun and experiment... don't be discouraged if you don't have sales right away.

If a random stranger walked up to you at a party and introduced themselves - and had on/with them one of your designs - what would you do/say?

Actually, I'd probably be speechless with shock.

If you could pick 1 product from any shop other then your own to give as a gift this mothers day what would it be?
This German Shepherd mousepad because it is actually a picture of my mother's dog! The shop is my older sister's new shop. She liked the idea of my store so much, she decided to start her own.

Shopaholic Chick

What are 5 things everyone should know about you?
1 - I grew up surrounded by art, my Grandfather was a professional artist, and my mom teaches art in a high school.
2 - I love to travel, I have been to majority of the states in the US, Mexico, South Africa, and several countries in Europe - If I could live anywhere in the world it would be Heidelberg Germany
3 - I have degrees in Criminal Justice & History
4 - I can crochet - but only scarves
5 - I am a published Illustrator. a friend of mine wrote a book which I illustrated - of course the skill qualification was that I could draw like an 8 year old child - because that was the perspective the book was written from - it is called "My Mommy has PTSD" and can be purchased on lulu.com currently

How long have you been with zazzle & how did you get here?
I started with Zazzle in December 2008, when I decided the other POD I had been with since 2005 was changing the rules too rapidly. Luckily for me I got a majority of my designs moved over before the big rush of others moved from that previous POD. I started with my first POD because a friend was doing so well she convinced me to try it out...and now I am hooked!

What is your favorite design and why?

I think my favorite are my carbon footprint designs - they took me like a week to make the template design with the thousands little tiny footprints placing each pair perfectly randomly that they would interlock not leaving big gaps or holes - after a while i thought i was going blind but once done i think the effect is astonishing!!

What program do you use to make your designs?
Photoshop 7.0, I have use illustrator a little bit and I had Photoshop CS4 - but i didn't like how it looked - and i couldn't find things when i needed them - so I went back to my old version!

If you had to pick any one gift from zazzle that was NOT on your own store to give someone else for their birthday what would it be?
I would have to get this shirt for my mom - the way the cat follows her around it is perfect for her LOL
